Fall -Its that time agian !

Even though the calendar says it is Fall it sure doesn't feel like it here in Florida,

I dream of being at a place like the falls above with the different color leaves .

So it is time to get my fall decorations out again , I am showing an old photo that has been on here before , I am having lots of computer problems ,I have lost most of my programs and it won't let me download them again ,.so therefore I am not even sure I can load new photo's , I am almost afraid to try , Hopefully I can get this one fixed or borrow another one temporaily.

I will try to come back often even if its just to say Hi for now .

Community Event -Beach Party

                               Just Look at the blue lips !! Sarah loved the homemade Blueberry Icee . The Community of K-Ville  that my husband and I are members of  had this planned for several months , most of the planning was all done by our Activities Director,  Daisy Bennett and her husband.
                         Usually we have a spring Fling and Fall Fest, well they decided to do something different this time and wanted to do this for the last day of school for the summer. Part of the plans was to have a beach with white sand which was Daisy's idea to do this with the tarp,sand and have water sprinklers with it . The lids loved it! ! Especially the little ones , Sarah (my youngest grand daughter) and this boy went out there when it was almost over, so I got good pictures of them, I think the blue tarp and sand with the water makes it look natural.
  We also had a cookie (cake ) walk , fishing board game where the fish for a prize, pop the ping pong ball in the bowl for live fish , a Dunk Tank ,Treasure hunt and a couple other games, plus hot dogs,chips and sodas.
                     There was a good turn out, I took lots of pictures but with a throw away camera, so I have to get those developed soon., a friend and I are talking about making a blog and web site just for the history and events.
                      My husband is the Building Supervisor and I am the Historian so we are pretty active with our community and events,the next event will be the national Night Out.

With Spring Comes Love !

A few weeks ago when it was not so cold my DIL and grand daughter found this Oak leaf in my yard , it came from the huge Oak across the street by the pasture .I have never seen one just like this before ,it reminds me of spring and Valentines day .I was going to show it on the 14 th but I was ill and was not up to posting ,

I am sorry for not posting anything this week except the S.S. quilt,I have been really busy getting all my sewing ,arts and crafts all organized and my room cleaned up .I have a shed that I am putting most of this stuff in and therefore more room for me in here . I  was so tired of not being able to move around and not knowing where everything was . I may take a picture of the shed later when I get it all done, opefully I will be able to find what I need now ! I still have alot more to do,so maybe by next week I will be posting more often.

Apology on Blog Confusion !!

Wow!! I can't believe I have had this problem for months now ! My cousin sent me a Facebook message asking if I have been receiving her e-mails, Blog notifications & etc. I told her I have not been receiving any blog notifications since I changed computers last summer ! When I changed computers we also changed providers ,therefore I had to change my e-mail address ,so I never did know when anyone left a comment unless I went to the blog each day and when someone did leave a comment, I would just click on the person's name and re-ply that way . Wrong.... I found out the e-mails are not going through !
So I want to apologize to everyone that left me a comment, that if you did not get a re-ply I am sorry for the confusion ,I guess my settings were wrong ,so it is all fixed now thanks to my cousin Susan from PA.
I would love to receive more comments and hopefully this will help solve the problem.Thanks for Listening .

Two Years Ago in October

Since I am unable to add new photos at this time I thought I would share some photos I took while my Mom, sister & I all took a train to Harrisburg Pa.,then rented a car and drove to Wellsboro,Pa.
Of course this was my first time ever driving in Pa. so it took some getting use to with all the mountians curves and road construction and etc. I will never forget while still in Harrisburg that really tall ramp we took off the mountian !! Oh my gosh.!!!....... I was terrified ! What happened was I took a wrong turn to get to Hwy 15, I finally found where to go , then drove all the way after stopping a couple times to get ahold of my bearings ,we made it after dark to Wellsboro and we had to call my Aunt to follow her back to her house because I could not find my way in the dark .
 We got there just at the right time, the leaves were changing the whole time we were there . the morning we left there was fog and one of the pictures shows that , there is also a pic. of Pine Creek when we went to the canyon with our cousins, after spernding time with everyone while there, it was too soon and we had to catch a train back to Florida ,we did not want to go ! It was on this date Oct.14th we left my Aunts ,I drove to a small town just outside Harrisburg, we stayed in a motel until the next day, then got back on  the train.
Three of the pic's shows the train station in Washington DC , Rexa and I was in awe at the size of the collums, they seem to reach the sky, they were so huge !!
All too soon we were back in Florida, seems like a dream now, it had been 30 years since Rexa and I had been to our home state, Mom had been there in 1992, so it was not quite as long for her, but I know she was homesick just as much as we were , I can't wait to go back, there is so much I want to do and see, so I hope we can go back agian soon.

First Day of Fall

This photo was taken in PA. when we went up there in 2008 ,I just love the colors of the leaves when they change .
It is suprising but Florida does have a few tree's that change also ,I just don't have pictures .However at this time it still feels like summer .
Maybe I will get the chance to take some pictures of Florida's fall leaves this year .

WHOOPS!!!!

        Well now ladies I sure did not recheck my past blogs very good ! I was going over them and came across the pictures in a draft and said to myself, I better get this one out and then later on I kept telling myself I thought I had already posted about the heart shape quilt ! And sure enough I found it posted on another date  . You can bet I will be sure to check from now on .

         I am slow about getting my bible covers made as it has been hot plus we had alot of running to do this week, so hopefully I will have some for next week , I also had to buy another camera battery as this one is getting low and I did not want to get started on pictures and then the battery go dead on me .
         I do not like to post without pictures either so I decided to show this one that was taken the last time I was at Mom's, there was a huge Sycamore tree branch that fell during a storm, so Mom propped it up agianst the fence for her son-in-law to haul away and this is what we found the next morning . At first there were about 20 to 25 small birds on it  .They started leaving as I was taking the pictures .

E-mail problems

E-Mail Failure
This has been a constant problem for me since I change providers ,it seems alot of people are not receiving my mail and sometimes me receiving theirs has been a problem too , I am finding out it may be some of our spam blockers and or virus protectors .I have no idea.
Therefore I have added another e-mail address to my information page .
 I have always liked the wmconnect that  I used to have ,we decided on cable internet, so it is taking awhile to get use to the changes .
Hopefully with another e-mail on my blog there will not be any more problems with others not getting mail from me .Thank you ,Cheryl

Off Too Visit With Mom In Live Oak.Florida !

This is Mom and the pictures were taken I think after we got back from Pa. in 2008 .Every morning she puts on her long sleeve shirt ,boots and a hat ,goes out to feed the chickens and birds , (Chickens no longer here ) ,then she waters the flowers if they need it , by looking at this last pic. I would say it is fall because of the leaves on the ground .Those are from the tree right by the house  .She is always so full of energy !
Now that it is summer it will be too hot to stay outside much, so we take this time to stay inside with the air on to plan, cut & sew our quilts or anything else we need to make .I have 2 quilts at her house now that I plan to finish while there ,one is a basket weave and the other is an art quilt that my Aunt showed on her blog last Feb.and hopefully I can get another one finished that was started about 4 or 5 yrs ago.
So I will be on my way on sunday morning ,we will visit awhile and then probably get started on sewing monday morning ! Hope to accomplish alot ! I will not be able to post everyday but when ever I visit with my sister while there  she will let me use her computer .

Finally Getting Something Accomplished

OK this is the used computer that I sent off to have formatted and all new stuff added to it, so now after 2 &1/2 weeks of aggrevation , spending more money, waiting ,waiting and waiting ,problem after problem ,I can now work on here faster, up-load and down load pictures to this blog and facebook or  to my e-mails

, I have alot of catching up to do and pictures to show.So starting tomorrow I will be showing what I did get done while waiting on this to happen.

Back On-Line with New Computer !

Ok I am back on-line agian .After 2 weeks of waiting ,trying to be patient,having to spend more than we wanted and running into so many problems since I got this back that ,I did not think I was suppose to even get back to blogging agian ,thank goodness for really wonderful friends ! We are back and we hope there will not be any more problems in the future .
Now that I can see all the wonderful & colorful pictures of everyone's blogs I cannot belive I waited so long to get to this , after 2 years of fuzzy pictures and not being able to add new stuff was a bummer for me  .The old car you see here is just another art idea for a quilt I plan to make someday , I have not even tried to download any new photo's yet .I am taking it slow for now ,I want to learn everything all over agian, so it may take some time , I will be able to get to a couple pictures that would not load before .So I may do that before I add any new pictures ,I do have quite a few to add since I had alot more time to get them done  .
It feels so good to be back to Blogging agian !

Just a Note

There is no picture this time as I am heading back to Mom's for a week with my 8yr .old Grand-daughter.Her birthday is the 31st. So that is part of her gift plus going to get the Doll house from her Uncle Gary , I will not be able to post everyday but I will whenever I can from Tina's .
We will more than likely head home next fri. or sat . as I just realized that next sunday is Easter !!

My Blog and Header

Wow ! Its been almost 2 days since I posted anything . I do not have any picture for this one as I really need to compliment my cousin Susan for all the help she has done to get me started with this Blog .
It took us a few days ,she told me basicaly what I needed to do , I had a pretty good idea what I wanted , first I was wanting the mural on the header and then maybe a couple quilts scattered around it , we found out that would not work so I took some pictures of my sewing and art supplies and and she took some of the pictures I had already posted on the blog , Susan designed the header for me and I love it , She did  an excellent job !! Then she added all the extra's for me too . If I had done it myself it would not look this good ,I am proud of her and thank her with all my heart ,Thank you Cousin Sue !
