When my sister and I went to visit with Mom for Mothers day we brought lots of flowers, plants and etc. I brought this red plate at Big Lots and glued it onto Mom's old bird bath stand that the dogs broke . I love how it turned out.
I saw one of these on Pinterest so when I saw the watering can I wanted to make one for Mom like it so I brought the can and the crystal beads and tear drops ,strung the beads on some fishing line to make it look like water pouring out ,I thought it looked too plain so I added some fake flowers to it.
I had been wanting to make one of these forever ! So I went to Lowes ,brought the sand and cement, I had plenty of Elephant ears in my back yard, so I made one for myself ,now Mom and both of my sisters want one too.
This is my bottle tree, I had saved the bottles for a couple of years , then when my step son came to stay with us he buit the tree out of steel rods . I love how the sun shines through them.
About 4-5 years ago our church Ladies were making quilts for the Missionary's , for some reason ,I can't remember why they discontinued making them, So Our Leader and Pastor's wife decided to let me use the fabric for the draw string bags we now make for the Operation Christmas Child. There was 3 ziplock bags with some 4' blocks already cut and pinned to be sewn, the above is one of them , everyone loves this one.
This one is more of a tropical look.
This one was a bag of them all cut and not pinned. I took all three bags to Mom's last time I went , Mom put this one together herself , the other two she finished sewing them , then I brought all the tops home ,Samantha my DIL helped me to cut and pin the batting and backing on them at church using some old sheets( for backing) that was given to the church.
Then I did machine quilting on them using a fancy stitch and free motion quilting on the boarders.
Robin had mentioned one time that the nursery could use some quilts for the babies ad children,So I presented them to Ms. Robin and her daughter Brittony ( Nursery Supervisor) to keep in the Nursery.
Ms. Robin said she was going to put some racks in the nursery to hang the quilts on until a child or baby needs to use one.
Mom and I made 30 Crazy Quilt Pillows to be given away to all the women in the family.
Rexa helped to do some of the handwork then we waited till time for Reunion to stuff them. ,
We used all but 6 saving the others for something else , maybe future brides .
We had some of the blocks started several years ago to make a quilt, but decided to make pillows this time for the Christmas Family Reunion.
We should have gotten a picture of who got which pillow, but forgot to do that.
We had decided to make lap Quilts for all the Great Grandchildren for the Family reunion. I have pictures for all except Eliana's ,Tina's Grand children and 2 Of Rexa's. We made all of these while at Mom's last July
