Rust Dyed Still Life

Another Rust dyed background with flowers 

I was trying to do odd quilting to make it look like the flowers are in a square vase or flower box of some kind . I guess I should have used a darker thread for quilting .I am not used to this type of quilting on rusty fabric.

This shows some lace and heavy string I am using to make it more Antique. I will be adding beads and possibly more laces .I want it to be unique. At one time I thought to add more fabric to the flowers to make them 3 demension , I have not decided yet how I want to do that . I will post as I go along .
Any suggestions are welcome.!

2 More Smaller Wall Hangings

The background fabric for these was muslin I had on hand to soak up leftover paint dyes from another project, I thought they looked pretty good so, I used them for these flowers. The flowers are cut outs with wonder under.Machine quilted .
They are 2 sizes ,can be hung like I have them or separtate. Or they can be used as a table top.

Iris and Rust Wall Hanging

 I decided to do something with the rust fabric I dyed last summer , I had this fabric Iris (Fat Quarter) for a long time and thought it would make a nice wall hanging with the rust.
I had a difficult time trying to quilt on the rusty fabric , not sure why . I tried to show up close with the quilting ,cannot see it for the thread being the same color!
I will be showing more wall hangings that I finished the bindings on today , 4 all together.
I will show those tomorrow .

Don't know the name but when we moved in this house, I dug up a whole bush ,or I thought I did and this came back this year,I guess I will keep it now.

This is an old old door handle off a shed that was tore down.from 20 years ago .I kept it this long ,I am not sure what to do with it but I love the design on it , maybe a good quilt design ?
I guess I got too close ,picture is some fuzzy.
By the way I have been making wall hangings and hope to have new pictures up soon.
We are also prepared for a Hurricane , hope it is not a big bad one !!!

All these are some of the flowers in my yard that have bloomed this year ,I am really surprised they are still alive with this heat , I water them when it doesn't rain , if I can stand the heat to do so.
 I know I took more photo's guess I still need to up-load them.

Minnie Mouse Baby Quilt

 This is the  Baby Quilt I made for Jon and Dana's New baby Girl ~ Not born yet,  I sent it in mail on Monday ,they got it today.Dana Loves it ,it will go along with the Minnie Mouse Theme she has started .

These are 2 close ups ., Can't wait to see pictures of the new baby when she gets here!

Idea I Am Playing Around With

 This is part of a wall hanging I am quilting , I wanted to do something a little bit different, I used more wonder under for another big flower on the quilt to try to make it look 3 dimension.
I have not decided yet how or if  I am even going to go with this, if I do I have to figure out how I want to attach it and if  I want a finish around each petal of the flower.

Here is some of the quilting detail that will be on other parts of the quilt , I have some lace on there now  that I plan to add more embellishments to it. Hopefully I can get more of this done this week.
We will see !
